If you have the opportunity to visit Tucson as I did this weekend, you will be overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and concern for Rep. Giffords and all who were involved in the horrendous shooting incident on January 8. From her Congressional office to the University Medical Center to the front of Safeway, you’ll see the tremendous support of this community.
The gathering of balloons, lighted candles, homemade angels, chains of hearts, and the paths full of stuffed animals are vivid signs that people are pulling together to show how they care. Their messages are loud and clear. Here are photos I took Sunday…
The city loves Gabby…
They are grieving…
They want no more hatred…
Tolerance is important…
They welcomed the President’s visit…
They want us to think of peace…
Their photos remember and salute the victims…
Their Congresswoman’s presence is everywhere…
They know she’s tough…
and they want her to stay strong because Arizona needs her…and now it’s time for rehab in Houston. Get well, Gabby!
