PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Rosie Napravnik has Best Performance by a Female Jockey in the History of the Kentucky Derby

Rosie Napravnik made history last year for the most purse money
earned in a single year for a female jockey.
This year she and her horse, Mylute, finished fifth, the best performance by a female jockey in the history of the event!

 

In 2011 she finished ninth in the Derby–the best any female had ever done.
There is a possibility that Rosie and Mylute will race in the Preakness on May 18.
