NASA Flight Engineer Karen Nyberg Assists Astronauts in
“Dry Run” at the International Space Station
Karen Nyberg is helping fellow astronauts Chris Cassidy (left) and Luca Parmitano,
who are wearing spacesuits or Extravehicular Mobility Units, in the Space Station’s Quest
airlock in preparation for two spacewalks scheduled July 9 and 16.
All are on a long-duration mission. Karen (@AstroKarenN) is the mother
of a young son and living 250 miles above Earth for the next several months.
Two previous female astronauts have worked in space with children at home.
