Elissa Montanti, founder of Global Medical Relief Fund and a CNN Hero, is an incredible changemaker who brings children with missing limbs from all over the world to the U.S. to be rehabilitated. She started her non-profit from her closet on Staten Island in New York.
Elissa’s work was so inspiring to us we included her story in our book, 20 Women Changemakers: Taking Action Around the World.
