On this episode of The Women’s Eye Podcast with Stacey Gualandi, my guest is the inimitable Nancy Glass, CEO of the award-winning Glass Entertainment Group, and known as a “model of reinvention” in the broadcasting industry.
The former investigative journalist-turned-unscripted TV, docuseries and podcast producer joins me to reminisce, ruminate and reflect on reinvention.

We first met back in the nineties on the syndicated newsmagazines American Journal and Inside Edition. From her early years hosting television shows to now running the Glass Entertainment Group, an award-winning company she founded 25 years ago, Glass has had to learn how to adapt.
“Mostly, my reinvention comes from the idea that I really have to earn a living.
It’s really about determination. I would never say I was confident; I always say self-loathing is my greatest quality. Oh my god, confidence? Who’s got that? Ha!”— Glass Entertainment Group CEO Nancy Glass
Glass is also a multiple Emmy Award-winning writer and producer who keeps her multi-platform company’s portfolio diversified, as you can see from the wide range of programming (below).

“We’ve done everything from the history of the papacy, which was so exciting, and Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson as docuseries, to My Dog Ate What?’”
The company recently purchased a YouTube crime channel and has produced over 5,000 minutes of programming on podcasts alone, including the “2025 iHeart Best True Crime Podcast Series” Betrayal. It’s all part of a plan to adapt to a rapidly shrinking and changing entertainment industry.
“Every time we put something together, I really, really, really want to produce it. But if that doesn’t happen, then I have to move on to the next. I don’t want to live in the past. I want to dream of the future. I don’t want to be that person. I want to do what I do.”
Glass says the business was very different when she started in the 70s. Now it’s about looking to the future to learn how to fit in.
As a female entrepreneur, she offers us her wisdom on adapting, transitioning, starting a career in television and building a business.
“ I would rather be lucky than brilliant, because luck really helps. But just go for it. Try and talk to other people who do what you want to do. Go work in a business like the business you want to be in. I have to tell you, I did not know how to start a business when I started it. I probably would have been more successful earlier if I knew a little bit about running a business, but now I know.”

Join Nancy and me for a hilarious and thoughtful conversation about reinventing yourself in an ever-evolving world on this episode of The Women’s Eye podcast!
