Wherever Roz Savage’s adventures take her, The Women’s Eye is sure to follow. We have been covering Roz ever since she became the first woman to successfully cross three oceans in a row boat. When her plans for a fourth trip rowing across the North Atlantic was derailed by icebergs last year, one door closed but another one opened.
She became a Yale World Fellow, one of only 16 individuals selected from 13 different countries to do so. It was, as she describes, a crash course in global affairs. It’s a subject that has become near-and-dear to her heart, as she has seen the effects of humanity on our planet first-hand.
Well, TWE wanted to know first-hand how the recent graduate is doing, so we just caught up with Roz via Skype following her appearance at a TedX Yale event in Connecticut … it’s just the beginning of a whirlwind schedule that will have her speaking on a variety of topics across the globe.
