  Debbie Reynolds’ Final Auction
of Hollywood Memorabilia–May 17-18, 2014

Profiles in History is presenting the third and last auction of Debbie Reynold’s amazing
collection of fabulous Hollywood items gathered over the past forty years.

We were delighted to cover the event the first and second time around.

Included in this finale are hundreds of gorgeous costumes, original design sketches, cameras,
movie stills and possibly the only 3-sheet poster from Singin’ in the Rain! (sold $9,600)

Some of the items to be auctioned above (l. to r., top to bottom):
Harpo Marx signature 1930’s collapsible top hat and wig acquired
from him ($20,000-30,000–sold $27,500)); Cover of Debbie Reynolds’ Auction Finale Book
(not to be auctioned); Mae West Ruby Carter Period Dress, 1934 ($3,000-5,000–sold $10,200));
Vivien Leigh “Scarlett O’Hara” ecru lace hat from Gone with the Wind, 1939 ($20,000-30,000–sold $60K)

Kudos to Ms. Reynolds for preserving these pieces of Hollywood history over the years!

We hope all the new owners take good care of these treasures.

Many times it takes enormous determination and courage in the face of fear and uncertainty. Leading is about passion. Stand up and do it if something needs changing.
